Workshops
Our hands-on workshops introduce kids to coding and technology in a fun, engaging way! We customize each
experience based on the interests and goals of the group—whether it’s a one-time session or a multi-day program.
From robotics and game development to web design, our workshops blend creativity, teamwork, and real-world
problem-solving to make coding exciting and accessible for all skill levels.
In this two-session workshop, junior and teen students learn the basics of HTML to build and structure their own
web pages. They explore how to format content, add links, and create simple layouts – gaining hands-on
experience with the building blocks of the internet!

Girl Scouts
Young Coders Academy (YCA) is proud to support the Girl Scouts in their STEM journey through meaningful, hands-on learning experiences. Our recent three-session STEAM workshop was a wonderful success, bringing together six enthusiastic girls for an empowering coding adventure.
Using Minecraft Education and block coding in MakeCode, the girls designed and built their own Lunar New Year project inspired by the Year of the Horse. Over three consecutive weekends, they explored foundational programming concepts such as cause and effect, loops, sequencing, and simple event-based logic — while strengthening spatial reasoning, creativity, and teamwork within a collaborative 3D world.
Each session built toward a final shared creation, culminating in a joyful showcase in Week 3. The girls demonstrated remarkable growth in confidence, computational thinking, and their ability to transform creative ideas into structured code.
Beyond coding, the workshop celebrated culture, collaboration, and innovation — warmly welcoming the Chinese Spring Festival through a project that was educational, meaningful, and fun. We are incredibly proud of their progress and excited to continue supporting their STEM exploration.
